Meet the Therapist
Lauren Frazier, MT-BC
A native of Silsbee, Lauren graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas. During university and internship, she completed over 1,200 hours of clinical training and had the privilege of working with individuals with different diagnoses and unique needs. Some of these individuals included adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, stroke and aphasia patients, adults in social and emotional support settings, and students in private and public special education programs. After passing the board-certification exam for music therapists, Lauren founded Southeast Texas Music Therapy, LLC to fulfill her dream of bringing music therapy to the Southeast Texas area and helping the community through the power of music. She is a member of the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) and is passionate about advocating for music therapy and educating others about this evidence-based practice.
Outside of her music therapy practice, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family, reading, traveling, caring for her plants, and appreciating the beauty of nature. Lauren also actively serves as a musician and vocalist at her church.
